WHY MOST AGENCIES FAIL
The problem isn’t knowledge. It’s the business model.
IT’S NOT ABOUT KNOWLEDGE
PPC agencies and Amazon account managing agencies generally suck not because the owner or founder doesn’t know Amazon. Most agency owners are knowledgeable about Amazon and PPC.
The issue is who is actually managing your account.
THE BAIT AND SWITCH
The person you meet with on Zoom or Google Meet is almost never the person managing your account.
Clients paying under $2,000 per month are often assigned to virtual assistants making $4–$7 per hour.
When you jump on a call, you are presented with a mid-level American manager who studied your account for 15 minutes prior to the meeting and pretends to be managing it directly.
Several Amazon sellers have told me this happened to them.
WHAT HAPPENS BEHIND CLOSED DOORS
I had a friend hired by an agency managing Amazon PPC and Google Ads.
She told me employees openly laughed at certain clients and how much money they were extracting from them.
While hard to believe, it aligns with what I’ve seen cleaning up accounts agencies have mishandled.
THE REAL PROBLEM
The business model is broken.
When the goal is to bring in as many clients as possible, quality becomes impossible at scale.
Accounts only receive serious attention if they are paying $25,000 or more per month in fees.
WHY I OPERATE DIFFERENTLY
I am not an agency
I manage every account I work on directly
I only work on a limited number of accounts at any given time.
I won’t just tell you I can help you if I can’t just to milk you for money for a few months or longer.
I structure the compensation so that if I don’t hit the agreed upon goals I lose out as well.
THE TRUTH
The best option is an in-house account manager with my Amazon PPC Knowledge, my Branding Brain, and my Passion.
The second best option is you manage your account yourself if you are a small seller.
Unfortunately, either time or budgets make these options not always realistic options.
Agencies Seem Like A Solution to this problem. They almost never are.
